Application |
Butterfly valves is a valve which can be used for isolating or regulating flow.Operation is similar to that of ball valve and which allows for quick shut off. (Quarter-turn).Butterfly valves are generally favored because they are lower in cost to other valves designs as well as being lighter in weight,means less support is required.The disc is positioned in the center of the pipe;passing through the disc a rod connected to a lever or gear operator on outside of the valve.There are different kinds of Butterfly valves for different pressure and different application.The zero-offset butterfly valve,which uses the flexibility of rubber,has the lowest pressure rating.The high performance of double or tripple eccentric metal seat butterfly valve is especially designed for on-shore, off-shore and Isolation of process line in Refinery and Petrochemical plants applications. The common Butterfly valves used for the above applications,are Wafer or Lug style. |
